you all for praying for my three friends in Haiti. We just got word that
they are safe. They were walking out of the airport with all their supplies as
(the city) collapsed."

– Jodi Tucker, World Orphans Director of Strategy for Holistic Care.

Jodi's friends had just arrived to help orphans at a church-based orphan home outside of the capital of Port-au-Prince. Although it's not one of the homes that World Orphans funded in Haiti, it represents all we stand for: A pastor with a heart and passion for the Church . . . and for the Church as the community response for orphaned and abandoned children.

World Orphans is coming alongside churches in Haiti to empower them be the rescue and care mechanism for thousands of children orphaned and displaced by this tragedy.

As you read this, I'm leaving for Iraq. But I have Haiti in my heart and will travel there to help coordinate our efforts shortly after my return. In the meantime, my team is looking into all the additional church-based options available to us, vetting out the best options to enable churches to be drop-off and care centers for orphaned children.

And, yes, we need your help. We need you to invest in the children of Haiti, by investing in the churches that seek to rescue them!

You can contribute to the World Orphans relief efforts at our giving page online. Simply make a "Miscellaneous" gift and write "Haiti" in the memo box. Or you can send a check to:
