During my last trip to Africa, I was asked, "Paul, out of the eighty or so countries you have visited, which has been the most beautiful?"
I had to stop to think for a moment. Each country is beautiful in its own way. Each one is unique and glorious, reflecting a part of God’s awesome creativity.
I started to mention my love for the Golden Triangle region (where Thailand, Burma and Laos all meet) when I caught myself and emphatically exclaimed, "Of all the places on this planet that I’ve been to, Colorado is by far the most beautiful!"
I’m so blessed to live here. After getting back from the not-so-scenic places of poverty and despair, to be able to gaze upon the majesty of the Rocky Mountains is both a relief and a comfort. I never get numb to it.
I just spent this past weekend in Breckenridge with my family…our home away from home.
Take a look at the view from the back deck and tell me if I’m wrong…
